Sarah Mcguire Studio
Sarah headed to Manhattan at 17 to study fashion at Parsons School of Design, but soon discovered that her interests extended to graphic design, furniture, metal sculpture and jewelry.
Following a decade as an award-winning graphic designer in New York, Sarah returned to the world of three dimensions in 2002, crafting a spare, sophisticated line of handmade jewelry that rewards scrutiny without clamoring for attention.
Her first collection was picked up by Chicago boutique p.45 in the spring of 2003 and within just a few months, she had expanded the line to notable boutiques nationally. Her work has been featured in The Chicago Tribune, Women’s Wear Daily, Lucky and Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion.
Each new piece she produces is test-driven by the designer for comfort and wearability before it ever sees the inside of a case.
When she’s not in her Chicago studio, Sarah can be found scouring flea-markets and thrift stores for the perfect set of Danish Modern flatware.
