Robert Wan Tahiti has a traditional and modern vision of jewels. As an expert and the most important producer of Tahitian Pearls with various shapes, colours and sizes, Robert Wan has created for a long time three lines for his jewellery collections from the classical and classy one to original and fashion designs.
Robert Wan discovered pearl farming in 1973. That experience and the semi-setback of some of his predecessors stimulated his taste for adventure and encouraged him to invest his capital in French Polynesia. Mikimoto confided to Robert Wan that he would always be a buyer if Robert Wan could successfully produce quality cultured pearls using Nacre found in French Polynesia. Three years later, Mikimoto bought every pearl in Robert Wan’s first harvest. He became Robert Wan’s first client, beginning a partnership that continues today.
The Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) has given the Tahitian cultured pearl its pedigree by recognizing it as a bona fide gem. Such recognition allows Robert Wan’s Tahitian cultured pearl to enter the closed world of very fine jewellery or haute joaillerie.
