#### Research Brand Recognition Level

Choosing to grow a brand at the right time is crucial. If it’s too early, the market won’t be ready for it. If it’s too late, there may not be enough time to take it to market at the crest of success. InGroup relies on their strong relationships with retailers, their industry experience, and their extensive network of market-specific consultants to be able to determine when and if a brand is ready to spread its roots.

Determine Best Time for Expansion

After we’ve evaluated your brand’s core competencies, we’ll give you a full list of potential categories to move into. We’ll look at the lifestyles of your core customer, and find how to merge your line into all relevant aspects of their lives.

Identify Brand’s Core Characteristics

There’s an old saying, “The cobbler’s son goes barefoot.” Often, it takes someone outside of the brand to evaluate where its core competencies are; it’s not always as obvious as the numbers on the books. InGroup will look at a variety of factors – market trends and saturation, retailer needs, licensee capabilities – and bring you a timelined licensing program.

Identify Logical Product Mix

After we’ve evaluated your brand’s core characteristics, we’ll give you a full list of potential categories to move into. We’ll look at the lifestyles of your core customer, and find how to merge your - brand and its equity - into all relevant aspects of their lives.

Match Brand to Partners

Your relationship with your licensing partners is crucial. You need to work with someone who shares your brand’s vision and commitment to quality. Much like a marriage, it requires clear communication to deliver a seamless message to your customers. Through years of experience, InGroup knows who does what best, and how to find the best partners for you.

Negotiate Contracts

Once we’ve identified the right partners, we work for you to negotiate the best terms. InGroup merges its insight with top attorneys who specialize in licensing. We look at your needs to determine advances, sales guarantees, distribution control, contract length, and a host of other terms. Because of our in-depth work in this process, we are continuously monitoring the terms of contract as we manage the program.

Implement Approval and Reporting Procedures

The approval and reporting procedures are outlined in your contracts. We work with you to develop the style guides and quality control that your licensees will follow. We then work directly with you to develop approval forms and timelines to make sure the right product gets to market on time.

Manage Business Growth

InGroup provides stellar account management. We handle many of the day to day interactions with licensing partners so you can continue to build your core product. As your portfolio of licensees grows, we are there with you looking at the next steps, whether it’s adding international licensees, meeting with retailers to develop in-store footprints, or supporting you at domestic or international trade shows. We are there for you, period.
