Boucher—French for butcher—was launched on the second floor of an old loft in New York City’s Meatpacking District in 1997. Laura Mady, a certified jewelry designer and Ken Cox, a self-trained photographer, formed the partnership that has become an exciting and attractive addition to the lower Chelsea scene. Starting out with a line of 18kt and pearl jewelry for which she gained a steady clientele. Boucher has since expanded their vision to include a rainbow of fine gemstones such as rubies, tourmaline, blue chalcedony and most recently, diamonds.
