Apiece Apart

Apiece Apart is a capsule collection of simple, staple garments that can be worn interchangeably, every day.

A modular uniform for the modern woman, the collection is composed of fluid, unfussy pieces that hang, wrap and drape. Worn separately, the clothes stand alone. When combined, the pieces come to life. The collection comes in a grid of neutral tones: cream, grey, midnight blue and black, with a punch of gold and consists of sumptuous fabrics of cashmere, wool, silk linens, and hammered silks.

To support this idea, we reprise several styles into the following seasons, evolving the styles, colors and fabrics according to the weather and our inspirations. For our second season, we illustrate the modularity of our collection by creating 30 looks from 11 pieces. Apiece Apart can be worn 7 days a week, 30 days a month.

Designed by Laura Cramer and Starr Hout, Apiece Apart was conceived during a road trip through West Texas. Inspired by the austere and beautiful landscape, Cramer and Hout conceived of a simplified life - complete with a downscaled wardrobe of just a few pieces, thereby offering a new freedom to attend to passions, careers and loved ones. The collection is designed to reward the wearer with simplified luxury each piece is timely, timeless and fashioned to be a better basic.
