WOMEN’S COLOR - EDITORS’ TOP PICKS
Burnt Pepper - Subtropics Palette
One of our favorite shades for the season, burnt pepper offers a new twist on red. Evolving the SS 16 shade of persimmon, burnt pepper has a hint of pink. Its terracotta-like base gives it a neutral feel, making it one for the most important hues of the season, perfect for all accessories.
Shell - Blossom Neutrals Palette
Shell offers a new neutral for the season. A pink tint keeps it fresh for SS 17 and works on numerous fabrics and silhouettes.
Bronze – Metallics Palette
The red casted bronze makes a strong statement for metallics this season. Working well on footwear and bags, it adds depth to any item.
Brittle – Shore Palette
Adding to the spiced browns for the SS 17 season, brittle offers a more caramel option. From the SS 16 copper to the FW 16/17 toffee this shade is always an important neutral. Brittle was first forecasted in our SS 17 Raw Coast Visionary story.
Sage – Shore Palette
New this season, sage works well for all accessories. Its grey cast gives it a neutral feel, allowing it to either stand out on its own or mix well with other key shades of the season.
MENS COLOR - EDITORS’ TOP PICKS
Artichoke - Solid Form Palette
This soft, dusty shade of olive is less saturated and much lighter than last seasons’ Bounty. It is perfect for summer suede and lightweight neckwear.
Deep Basin - Solid Form Palette
Deep Basin is a dry and less saturated Navy from last season’s Shale. Its dusty grey undertone makes it perfect for soft summer accessories.
Stratus - Solid Form Palette
Stratus is a new color for men’s accessories this season. This dusty grey has an unexpected murky green cast, adding an element of interest to accessories for spring.
Tide - Easy Life Palette
Grey-based shades of light teal have quickly become a new option for the Contemporary men’s market. For S/S 17, tide is more saturated and blue-based than the faded-out Concrete Pond from last season.
Coastal Clay - Curious Land Palette
This season we see the emersion of a spicy clay-inspired neutral red, perfect for all classifications. With a red, terracotta-like base, it is one of the most important new hues of the season.
