Womenswear Editors’ Picks
Emphasis is driven by the Artist’s Clay midtone palette, which addresses a continuation of retro modern hues like Potter’s Clay, Brittle and Goldenrod. There is also significant interest in the New Uniform neutral palette, driven by industry sensation Demna Gvasalia at Vetements and Balenciaga.
Potter’s Clay - Artist’s Clay Midtone Palette
Potter’s Clay is one of the most essential fashion colors of the season. Emerging from other copper tones like cognac and chili powder, this season’s hues have ruddy undertones.
Brittle - Artist’s Clay Midtone Palette
Brittle progresses from golden cast mustard seed. The deeper cast makes it a strong seasonal hue for winter sweaters and wool coats.
Spicy Mustard - Artist’s Clay Midtone Palette
Spicy Mustard emerges from a more green cast citrine. Golden brown undertones make spicy mustard a perfect match for other greens like olive or pea.
Blue Ash - New Uniform Neutrals Palette
Blue Ash takes inspiration from denim or chambray with a slight grey or washed out appearance.
Olive - Treasure Jewel Tones Palette
Olive remains a consistent base and pairs well next to midtones.
