Copenhagen Denmark Fashion Week Trend Report
Fall / Winter 2008-2009 - Every February and August, Copenhagen is host to Northern Europe’s largest fashion event, Copenhagen Fashion Week. On the catwalks are a growing number of new and known Danish talent with a preview of their upcoming collections. Danish fashion is known for its unique angle on design, innovation and aesthetics. With a more modern approach to femininity and functionality, expressed in fresh silhouettes, a focus on details and incomparable quality Copenhagen comes out of the wood work with some of the most unexpected progressive designs the world has ever seen. Impressive knits and complicated garments with a lighthearted whimsy dotted the runways this Fall 2008. Major talents such as Henrik Vibskov and Preen presented truly phenomenal collections with conceptual detail. A fantastic publication is also offered free from the Copenhagen Fashion week site called “DANSKDaily”. This magazine covers all the collections with brilliant commentary and impeccable photos.
